Cory McBride is a violist native to New Mexico and is an alum of the University of New Mexico. He currently plays with San Juan Symphony as principal violist and subs with the New Mexico Philharmonic, as well as other local orchestras and chamber music ensembles.

Ian Mayne

Ian Mayne-Brody

Cellist

Cellist Ian Mayne-Brody is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ian completed a Bachelors of Music in 2012 at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, a Masters degree in cello performance at the University of New Mexico in 2015, and Graduate Certificate from UNM in 2022 with Al Laszlo.  Ian has performed in numerous chamber and orchestra ensembles, and recently won positions with the New Mexico Philharmonic and the Amarillo Symphony.  Ian is enthusiastic about championing the works of the 20th and 21st century, and also performs regularly in several chamber ensembles in New Mexico and Colorado.

Natalie Frantz

Natalie Frantz is a professional violinist based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has been performing with the New Mexico Philharmonic, Santa Fe Symphony, Opera Southwest, Santa Fe Pro Musica and Chatter Albuquerque among other groups in the area since 2014. She also held an associate position with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2017-2018 season. Natalie received a Bachelor’s of Music Degree with a dual concentration in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy from the University of New Mexico and has studied under Susan Kempter, Kathie Jarrett, Carmelo de los Santos, and Megan Holland. She has also attended several music festivals around the world and worked with artists such as Simone Bernardini, Leon Spierer, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Ole Bohn, and others. In addition to performing, Natalie is an active teacher and holds her long-term training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas in the complete Suzuki Violin Method. She is passionate about both teaching and performing as a means to further the love and appreciation for music in her community. Outside of her musical endeavors, Natalie enjoys anything that gets her outside and exploring more of the world including travel, rock climbing, hiking, language learning, and spending time with the friends and people she meets along the way!

Laura Steiner

Laura Steiner

Laura Steiner, violinist and violist, is a member of the New Mexico Philharmonic and the Santa Fe Symphony. She also performs with Chatter, Albuquerque Chamber Soloists, and other New Mexican performing arts organizations. Laura has performed solo works with the Albuquerque Youth Symphony, the New Mexico Philharmonic, the Masterworks Festival Philharmonic Orchestra, and the University of Alabama Huxford Symphony Orchestra. She maintains a private studio of violin and viola students and has taught several levels of collegiate music theory.

Laura earned a MM (with distinction) in Viola Performance, String Pedagogy, and Music Theory from the University of New Mexico in 2020, and a BM (summa cum laude) in Viola Performance from the University of Alabama in 2015. Her principal teachers include Kim Fredenburgh, Wendy Richman, Daniel Sweaney, Gabriel Gordon, and Derek Reeves. When not practicing, Laura enjoys knitting, cross-stich, and video gaming.
